2nd Annual Lone Star Shootout News
Muscle Mustangs & Fast Fords and Tommie Vaughn Performance Step Up to Sponsor
2nd Annual Nitto Tire NMRA/NMCA Lone Star Shootout

Houston Raceway Park – Houston, Texas – November 12-14, 2010

The NMRA, building on the success of their 2009 Houston, Texas event, will combine with the NMCA series to produce what will be the largest muscle car events of the year…the 2nd Annual Nitto Tire NMRA/NMCA Lone Star Shootout at Houston Raceway Park in Houston, Texas the weekend of Nov. 12-14, 2010. Watch all the cars and all the stars of the NMRA take on the Chevys, Fords and Mopars of NMCA for a weekend of heads-up action. Also, be sure to check out the UPR Products / TREMEC All-Domestic Car Show to see the coolest muscle cars and hot rods in Texas show off for the fans at the Lone Star Shootout.

Tommie Vaughn Performance, one of the biggest players in the performance aftermarket and a Houston-based dealership, has signed on as the presenting sponsor of the event and will help make this “the” Texas muscle car event of the year. Tommie Vaughn will join over 30 vendors on the manufacturers midway so be sure to hit the ATM on your way to Houston to get great deals on the parts you need for your muscle car.

Muscle Mustangs & Fast Fords is pleased to announce we will once again join forces with the NMRA and NMCA to host the 2nd Annual Lone Star Shootout. To be eligible for the Lone Star Shootout, competitors must meet all True Street rules, compete in the True Street class on Saturday, and make all three True Street passes. The sixteen (16) competitors who have the fastest 3-pass averages will be placed on a sportsman ladder and will race heads-up on a 4/10 pro tree.

As I have read the rules stock suspension NMRA spec cars are going to have to run again backhalf NMCA spec cars. Kinda sucks, guess I need to up the boost.

Yeah, I'd rather see it be just an NMRA event, but I guess it's all about the money.

True/Lonestar Shootout. The NMCA has different rules for their true street class.

RE: 2nd Annual Lone Star Shootout News
I'm going to predict that a stock suspension mustang will win! Regardless of the NMCA true street rules. By the way I had no say in the decision to make it a NMCA/NMRA event. Either way we will all have a great time.
